Varennes-les-Mâcon

Varennes-Les-Macon is the gateway to the Beaujolais and Maconnais regions. Not too far away are the A6 motorway and the RN6. Once, during road-works on the motorway,remains from the end of the Paleolithic era were found as well as Gallo-Roman artefacts.
To explore Varennes-les-Macon, you have to move away from the main roads. That done, you will find the peace of the Saône Valley and its green fields which stretch as far as the eye can see.
