Mont St-Rigaud in Monsols - Deux-Grosnes - Beaujolais Geosite "Unesco Global Geopark."

You can see the sky from the top of Mont Saint-Rigaud.

Mont Saint-Rigaud is nestled in the northern Beaujolais region, 50 minutes from Lyon.

Located in the heart of Beaujolais Vert, the site is a must-see for nature lovers. The highest point of the Rhône Department (1009m) is situated in Monsols in the Bois d'Ajoux.
There was a Cluniac priory here during the Middle Ages.
Park your vehicles and let's go on the Adventure! For those who are not afraid of slopes, you can reach the top of the mountain on foot or by bike!

Easy walks start through the Beaujolais Douglas Firs. First halfway stage: Saint Rigaud Spring is still flowing! Legend has it that its water is sacred and that it has healing powers.

After that, climb up to the observation tower made of Douglas fir. It offers a 360° panorama of Beaujolais, Lyonnais, Azergues Valley, Clunisois, Charolais, Mâconnais and the Alps.

Do you have photographer friends?
Mont Saint-Rigaud is definitely one of the most beautiful spots in Beaujolais to capture the sunset on top of the Monts du Beaujolais!
